Can you horseback ride on Amelia Island? Amelia Island Horseback Riding offers horseback riding on the beach for 2-3 riders, starting at Peters Point Beach Front Park on S. Fletcher Ave. Each ride is personalized to the equestrian level of the riders. Guests may get to experience trotting and cantering on the waters edge.
What do they do at Horse Camp? We match campers with horses based on their riding level. Campers will rotate horses each lesson and can expect to ride a new horse daily. To be a good rider, you need experience riding all types of horses. Everyone has their favorite, but it’s important to keep an open mind and get to know all of our horses!
How much is a horseback ride at Cades Cove? The Cades Cove Riding Stables are open March 4 – November 30, weather permitting. Guided trail rides are conducted on horseback for $30 per person. Carriage rides around Cades Cove run $12 per person and last approximately 30 minutes. Motorized hay rides are excellent for large groups and cost $12 per person.
Can you ride your own horses in Cades Cove? About 550 miles of the park’s hiking trails are open to horses. Horses are restricted to trails specifically designated for horse use. If you wish to ride your own horse in the park, please obtain a copy of the park’s trail map.
